V3 replaced the V2.5 build on October 10, 2026, after a short donator test. The official game description lists the release as:
- Rewrote the code for most systems
- Complete redesign of all UI
- New map
- Locker and armory revamp with weapon and vest attachments
- Gun system remake
- Director rework
- Inmate jobs
- Solitary rework
The official trailer went up on October 3, 2026 and warns that it may not match the finished game. The place was created December 28, 2023.
What you do differently
Inmates can clock into kitchen duty and laundry duty at level 0. Payout is cash and XP when you clock out. Early laundry numbers were extreme; see the jobs guide before you treat 8,000 XP as normal.
Crafting emphasis moved toward AK bayonets, screwdrivers, and ropes made from plastic, metal, and laundry clothes. Vents use a screwdriver and a short interaction, described both as a 5-second pry and as a dedicated UI. Maintenance still seals grates with a toolbox.
The Director tablet can call teleport meetings, open cameras and body cams, set the schedule (including canteen), start alarms, broadcast, and start a vote to dismiss an officer. Solitary moved underground into four monitored cells. The booking display is supposed to show the arresting officer, cell, and charges. Launch reports said that booking often failed.
Armor weight is a V3 stat. Heavy vests slow your walk and burn stamina faster. Attachments (optics, suppressors, grips, lasers, flashlights) are bought with paychecks at the armory terminal on teams that can open it.
A DoC showcase of the new armory listed M4A1, UMP45, M4 CQB, RM870, and AK24, plus G19, M19, 92FS, and Python. Launch reviews said many older locker guns were gone, including The Harrow, beanbag launchers, and grenade attachments, and that State Police was cut to about four baseline firearms. Riot pages still list a beanbag shotgun. Both statements are in current write-ups. Check the locker you actually spawn with.
Level cap
Community logs from before launch said the cap would drop from 175 to 100 and that existing XP would stay. The V3 badge catalog's top level badge is Level 100. Role and weapon pages written afterward still print 135, 150, and 175 unlocks. This site does not average those numbers. The team menu is the check.
Older history that still matters
Valley County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff SWAT were removed October 19–20, 2025. The Auto Director promotion, which offers the longest-present Assistant Director the chair when the Director leaves, was added in late 2025. An earlier public description also listed a December 8, 2025 winter decor pass and a January 1, 2026 bugfix line. Those lines were replaced on the listing by the V3 block.
Launch problems to expect
See the issues guide. The short list from October 10–11, 2026: solitary booking failures, panic with no coordinates, armory UI freezes and a placeholder attachment labeled Air at 10,000 cash, missing reload animation on guns such as the AUG A1, touchscreen laptops losing the cursor, stuck lockdown audio, donator outfit commands reduced to a nametag toggle, instant exterior gates, and very fast minimum-security vent escapes.
Developer comments around launch said later patches would tune jobs, doors, and the complaints. This page is the October 10 release, not a promise about patches after that date.
